A downloadable game for Windows

Rise of Seamoor is a 3D medieval city builder, which allows the player to take the role of Ares the lord and hero of the village of Seamoor.

Ares, abandoned by his family at a young age, has always been a fighter and was taken in by a small seaside town, the village of Seamoor, quickly becoming a reference for his charisma, heroism and selflessness.

Determined to repay all that Seamoor has given him, Ares is determined to make this village one of the most important and powerful locations in history, giving it not only his love, but his very life.

In Rise of Seamoor, we offer you a combination of the classic City Builder 3D, with a top-view battle mode, resembling the RTS mechanics, and a 2D campaign mode, which allows you to progress your city's evolution and discover more about this hero's story.

Game Modes

Rise of Seamoor includes three important components that are interlinked with each other:

  • In 3D mode, this game is a classic City Builder, with resource production, troop production, and more.
  • In the 2D mode, this game brings the campaign component, allied to obtaining resources for a faster evolution of the city
  • At each Town Hall evolution there is a battle, in which in a 3D scenario, the player has to position the troops produced in the 3D mode to defend his city.

The technical side

This project was fully developed in Unity by a team of 3 elements: Pedro Moura, Rui Jesus and Carlos Luz.

This project was developed in the curricular unit of Video Game Development in the Degree in Informatics Engineering.

It is important for us to emphasize that all music and UI were developed by us.

When it comes to music, we counted with the help of VST:

  • BBC Symphonic Orchestra
  • LABS by Spitfire
  • GMS

The UI was developed in a totally original way in photoshop using some textures and other UI templates.

Regarding the game assets, we used several copyright free packages, both from the Unity and itch.io shops
